SATURDAY, MAY 18, 2019: 11AM – 3PM
The 14th Annual Boston Buddies Boston Tea Party was another great day of fun with friends and family – two and four legged (and in some cases three legged!) We had our biggest crowd yet as over 200 dogs and their families made the trek to Temecula. Lots of vendors were there with their dazzling goods and appetites were satisfied with the great taste of street tacos cooked fresh on site! We held the Inaugural Run of the Boston Terrathon which was a real crowd pleaser with all heats of the race sold out. After the official contests were over many of the spectators came in with their dogs to try out the track and we heard that many were ready to sign up for next year’s competition! The Class Act Photo Booth was busy all day as everyone took the opportunity pose and take home a photo strip to remind them of all the fun. Many thanks to all who came out to celebrate our love for our furry family members!

2018 Boston Tea Party
April 28, 2018
The 13th Annual Boston Tea Party was a fabulous success. The weather was wonderful (not too hot, not too cold), the crowd was large, the vendors were great, the food was delicious, the photo booth was so much fun and the doggie contests were the best ever!

2017 Boston Tea Party
May 20, 2017
The 12th Annual Boston Buddies Boston Tea Party was held on May 20, 2017 in Temecula, California. It was a very hot day but that did not stop 200 Bostons and their owners from coming out to have some fun. There was lots of shade under big beautiful trees, doggie pools to splash in and Shaved Ice to cool you down. Plus, Opto 22 (the company whose grounds we use each year) was generous enough to leave the air conditioning on in the building so you could sneak in to cool off. The Boston Buddies foster dogs hung out in the cool lobby meeting lots of party goers. Hercules was there to welcome everyone and we even put him to work wearing a donation vest!
We had over 20 vendors attend the event providing everyone with the opportunity to shop and eat. We served up delicious BBQ in addition to the Hawaiian BBQ from Comet Catering. There were lots of fun items in the Silent Auction too. The raffle was especially fun as we had lots of donations to give away. The doggie contests were a hit as usual – although because of the heat we moved them along at a faster pace than normal. The costume contest was a hoot – as always!
Best news of all was that two dogs, Rupert and Bebe, were adopted at the Tea Party and went home with a family instead of back to boarding!
And a rescue even took place at the Tea Party – not a Boston Terrier, but a red tail hawk. During the event a baby red tail hawk fell out of a tree and was bleeding from its mouth. A call to wildlife rescue advised us to contain the hawk so he was rescued and placed inside the Plant Manager’s office for the remainder of the Tea Party. The hawk was turned over to wildlife rescue that evening and we have received word that he is doing well – they hydrated him and he ate 5 mice! The rescue will get him back in good physical health, teach him to fly and hunt and prepare him for release back to the wild where he belongs. Just goes to show you that you never know what kind of excitement you will find at the Boston Tea Party!
We hope everyone had a great time. We loved seeing all the dogs with their families. See you next year!

2016 Boston Tea Party
May 7, 2016
Boston Buddies held its 11th Annual Boston Tea Party on Saturday, May 7, 2016. This was our first Tea Party held in the Spring. Even though the weather on Saturday was pleasant the week’s previous rain kept a lot of people away so we had a smaller crowd than usual – which just improved everyone’s chances in the Raffle, Silent Auction and doggie contests!!!! As usual we had goodie bags for all attendees and because Mother’s Day was the next day we paid homage to all the mothers (both of two and four legged children) and had beautiful white long stem roses for them to take home and enjoy. We had event logoed tshirts for sale, as well as Boston Buddies tumblers and Dog Mom trucker hats. Our selection of vendors was awesome with several repeat vendors as well as new ones we hope to see again next year! Our Silent Auction had a lot of goodies up for bid and there was spirited bidding for several of the items. Our Kissing Booth was busy with several different dogs giving smooches to raise money for the Buddies. We want to thank all who attended and look forward to seeing everyone at the 12th Annual Boston Tea Party next year!

2015 Boston Tea Party
October 17, 2015
On October 17, 2015 Boston Buddies held its 10th Annual Boston Tea Party in Temecula, California. Hundreds of dogs and their families braved the hot day and came out for some fun and games. Food trucks, vendors, doggie contests, raffle and silent auction. And there were 12 Boston Buddies rescue dogs in attendance waiting to meet their forever families. While not all the rescue dogs in attendance were adopted we are pleased to report that all of the rescue dogs went home to either a forever home or foster home – none of them had to go back to boarding! That was just the best part of the day for all of us. This is a special day to celebrate our communal love of dogs and just be around a lot of love and fun. From all of us at Boston Buddies thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We always say it – rescue is a group effort and Boston Buddies is able to do so much good because of the awesome efforts of all! There were some celebrity sightings at the event too! Lili Chin with Doggie Drawings and Leroy Brown were both in attendance!

2014 Boston Tea Party
October 11, 2014
The 9th Annual Boston Tea Party was held on October 11, 2014 in Temecula California. Under bright sunny skies hundreds of Bostons and their families joined together for a day of fun and games. We hope everyone who came had a grand time – we certainly love seeing all this Boston love together in one place. And to top a great day off – two Bostons found their forever homes!!!!! Much thanks and gratitude to the great group of volunteers who helped set up and take down the event.

2013 Boston Tea Party
October 19, 2013
Our annual Boston Tea Party was once again a success! We had so many Boston’s in attendance and we can’t complain about the great weather either. It was a fun filled day with vendors, food, doggy contests, the foster dogs and a very popular kissing booth. Thank you to our wonderful volunteers and our supporters for making this annual event once again a huge success!

2012 Boston Tea Party
The 7th Annual Boston Tea Party was held on October 20, 2012. The weather was a bit cool that day but we still had a great crowd come out and enjoy all the fun – although the Snow Cone machine was not the hit we thought it would be! We had all sorts of new vendors, TTouch, Touch n Paws, VPI Pet Insurance and the always popular Stitchy Witchy Designs. We had doggie nail trims available and we fired up the BBQ to feed all the hungry attendees. The star of the day was Panda – who got dressed up to come out and say thank you to all of her Platoon Members. The contests had so many contestants lined up to participate in the fun. The Longest Sit competition was impressive! The Costume Contest was a delight – the Incognito Corgis dressed as Boston Terriers made everyone laugh. Once again it was a wonderful day of fun!

2011 Boston Tea Party
The 6th Annual Boston Buddies Boston Tea Party was held on October 22 2011 – once again in the park like grounds of Opto 22 in Temecula, CA. This year’s Silent Auction was the largest one yet and our Calendars almost sold out at the event! The BBQ was a popular spot to fill up before participating in the Contests – the arena got crowded so we made a note to increase the size for next year – it seems everyone wants to join in and we could not be happier for that! For those not in the arena itself a favorite spot has become setting up camp on the shady, grassy knoll overlooking the venue itself. Once again, it was a fabulous day of fun and love for our furry family members. Much thanks to all the volunteers for your hard work setting up and breaking down the event – without your help the day would not be so fun! See you next year!

2010 Boston Tea Party
October 9, 2010
This year Boston Buddies decided to take the 5th Annual Boston Tea Party Fundraiser on a road trip. We had outgrown the original venue and parking had always been a bit difficult so we searched for a venue that would give us the space we wanted with plenty of close parking – oh and it also had to be affordable – this is a fundraiser after all! By 11:00 a.m., the venue was ready for the arrival of over 205 Boston Terriers and their people and Michael Johnson, the fabulous DJ from TimmyD Productions, welcomed the arriving crowd with some great music. We had some awesome vendors for the day and Chopper the Biker Dog arrived on his Harley! We had lots of foster dogs there for meet and greets too.
We think we found a great spot in the beautiful park-like grounds of Opto 22 in Temecula

2009 Boston Tea Party
September 12, 2009
Another successful day, and the party keeps growing, with even more Bostons and their humans showing up for the 4th Annual Boston Buddies Boston Tea Party! This year we had fabulous Goodie Bags that each had an almost full size stuffed Boston, courtesy of Jenn and Erica at the All-Mighty Store. The bags were so big – it took two cars to get them all transported to the event! The weather was our friend – not too hot and not too cold. We had a tiki themed archway for Polaroid photos to take home as a souvenir. Our Silent Auction grew even bigger and the doggie contests ever more popular. Indeed, the party got so big we out grew our space – so we began looking for a bigger, more private venue to hold this ever growing party! Til next year!

2008 Boston Tea Party
September 20, 2008
Beautiful weather welcomed all who came out for the Third Annual Boston Buddies Boston Tea Party on September 20, 2008. Held once again at The Park Bench Café in Huntington Beach, the Tea Party keeps growing, with over 170 dogs in attendance! The Silent Auction grew to take up two huge 10x20 tents and we had a third 10x20 tent for check in, goodie bags and for the very first year, tshirt sales with our very first Tea Party logo! We held Boston Idol contests for the dogs in attendance – with the costume portion being the favorite time. We had lots of foster dogs in attendance looking for their forever homes as well. It was a blast and we can’t wait for next year!

2007 Boston Tea Party
September 22, 2007
Grey skies and rain the night before could not dampen the spirits of all who attended the 2007 Boston Buddies Tea Party on Saturday, September 22, 2007. Volunteers showed up early at The Park Bench Café in Huntington Beach to set up tents and tables in excited anticipation of the arrival of all the Boston Terriers and their escorts. And arrive they did!! We had over 110 Boston Terriers at the Tea Party – many of them sporting fashionable rain gear in case of rain! This year we had Reiki Energy Therapy available for the dogs in attendance. Another bigger Silent Auction was also held. As well as Doggie Contests with MC Jack Engberg leading the show! The best thing of all though was that 11 Buddies found their forever homes that day! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2006 Boston Tea Party
August 19, 2006
Our first year of the Boston Tea Party we did not quite know what to do and how to do it. But we thought it would be fun to plan an event where we could all get together to celebrate our love for Boston Terriers. We hunted around for a dog friendly venue and came across The Park Bench Café in Huntington Beach. It seemed like a great spot and offered the convenience of being able to grab a bite for you and your pup during the event. So we set about planning the day. The event was planned from 9 am to 12 noon on August 19 2006. We arrived early to set up our two canopies and four tables – one for check in, one for raffle, one for Boston Buddies information and one for Silent Auction Park Bench Café set up extra tables and chairs for us with nice shade umbrellas and we waited to see if anyone would show up. Well, show up they did! The small parking lot quickly filled up and people kept coming in with their adorable dogs in tow. We had foster dogs in attendance to meet everyone and we even planned Doggie Contests. Judy Marks did an awesome job as MC armed with a handheld megaphone. By the time we thought to take a group photo many had already left – but it was a fun day and we knew we had to make it an annual tradition!
